EPOXY COUNTERTOPS

EPOXY COUNTERTOPS - DURABLE AND STYLISH SOLUTIONS FOR YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS

Epoxy countertops provide a unique, attractive, and functional surface for kitchens, bathrooms, and other workspaces. At Epoxy Experts, we design and install custom epoxy countertops that hold up to heat, scratches, and daily use while giving you a look you cannot get from an off the shelf slab. The surface is nonporous, so it resists stains and wipes clean with a cloth, and we can tint and layer the epoxy to mimic marble, granite, natural stone, or wood in a range of colors and finishes. We build them for homes in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and outdoor kitchens, and for commercial spaces like restaurants, bars, retail counters, and offices.

How Epoxy Countertops Are Made

An epoxy countertop is a hard resin surface poured over a solid base such as existing laminate, wood, or concrete. We prep and level the base, seal the edges so nothing leaks during the pour, then apply a base coat and pour the epoxy in layers. While each layer is still wet, we work in the color, metallic pigments, and veining by hand, which is where the marble and stone effects come from. The epoxy self levels as it cures into a thick, glossy, seamless top with no grout lines or joints. Because we build the look by hand, no two countertops come out exactly alike, and we can match a sample you bring us or design something specific to your space.

Pouring Over Your Existing Counters

In a lot of kitchens we can pour epoxy straight over the counters you already have, as long as they are solid and well attached. That saves the cost and mess of tearing out the old tops and hauling them away, and it usually means a faster turnaround than a full replacement. We assess the existing surface first, since anything soft, water damaged, or badly out of level needs repair or replacement before we pour. For new builds or full renovations we can also pour over a fresh substrate cut to your layout.

Caring for an Epoxy Countertop

Day to day care is a wipe with a soft cloth and a mild soap, and the nonporous surface means spills sit on top instead of soaking in, so wine, coffee, and oil clean up easily. Epoxy handles warm items, but it is a resin, so we recommend a trivet or board under hot pots and pans straight off the stove rather than setting them down directly. Cutting on a board rather than the surface keeps the finish free of knife marks. With that basic care an epoxy countertop stays glossy and sealed for years, and if it ever dulls we can buff and recoat the top rather than replace it.

Epoxy Countertops or Natural Stone

Epoxy costs less than most granite or quartz installs, and because we can pour it over your existing counters, the total project often comes in well below a stone replacement. It also gives you design freedom that slabs cannot, since we mix the color and pattern to your space rather than choosing from what a quarry produced. Stone has its own strengths and stays the right call for some kitchens, so we walk through both during the estimate and tell you honestly which one fits your budget, your usage, and the look you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an epoxy countertop take to install? Most kitchens take two to three days on site, and the epoxy needs several more days to fully cure before heavy use. We give you an exact timeline for your job at the estimate.

Can you pour epoxy over my existing countertops? Yes, in most cases. As long as the current counters are solid and well attached, we can pour straight over them, which saves the cost of removal.

Is an epoxy countertop heat resistant? It handles warm items well, but as a resin it can mark under very high heat, so we recommend using a trivet under pots and pans taken straight off the burner.

Can you match a specific color or the look of marble? Yes. We tint and layer the epoxy by hand and can mimic marble, granite, stone, or wood, or match a sample you bring to the estimate.

What does an epoxy countertop cost? Pricing depends on the square footage, the number of surfaces, and the design you choose. Call us at (778) 653-8356 and we will give you a free estimate after seeing the space.
